Job Description
- Play a crucial role as Master of Ceremony during funeral procession day by delivering memorial speech or condolence tribute on behalf of bereaved family.
- Assessing bereaved families by interviewing appropriate questions so as to acquaint with background of bereaved families and the nature of bereavement.
- Prepare and compose personalized memorial speech which meets and suits conditions and emotions of bereaved families.
- Offer heartfelt counsel and comfort to bereaved families and friends.
- Helping out to interpret and translate documents or memorial speech from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Provide support and coordination to Service and Operation Personnel during funeral procession day and night service when deemed necessary.
- Conduct study and research on various Chinese traditions, cultures and customs as well as Christine doctrines so as to compose and compile various types of memorial script for future reference.
- Assist and actively participate in upgrading and improvement of emcee quality and knowledge development.
- Compile and study departmental reports so as to constantly evaluate and monitor overall emcee performance.
- Assist in preparation and arrangement of VIP cases.
- Attend to VIP cases and night service when deemed necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by the superior/ management to you from time to time.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least STPM, preferable degree or diploma holder.
- Delightful physical appearance with pleasant personality and with standard height requirement.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills in English and Chinese.
- Conversant with common Chinese dialects will be an added advantage (eg. Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese, Teochew and etc).
- Knowledge in Chinese traditions, cultures and customs will be an added advantage.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Application.
- Initiative & self-motivated and able to manage multi tasks independently with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment.
- Excels at operating in a fast pace and ability to work under pressure with irregular working hours & Public Holidays.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
